Signing in

I forgot my password

Tap Forgot password? on the sign-in screen. We will email you a code to set a new one.

I signed in with Google or Apple and it said my account was linked

If you already have a Commence account with the same email address, signing in with Google or Apple joins that sign-in to your existing account instead of creating a second one. The app tells you it has linked them and signs you in. On an iPhone you may be asked to pick your account once more. This happens once per provider, and afterwards either way of signing in opens the same account.

Using the app without signal

Commence works fully offline. Sets, programmes and progress you save without a connection are kept on your phone and sent automatically, in order, as soon as you are back online. You don't need to do anything. If a change can't be saved, My Programmes tells you.

The rest timer

On iPhone

Your rest countdown appears on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, with a Skip button. It needs iOS 16.1 or later. If it doesn't appear, check that Settings → Commence → Live Activities is turned on.

On Android

Your rest countdown appears as a notification with a Skip button, and alerts you when your rest is over. Allow notifications for Commence when asked. If the alert sometimes arrives late, turn on Settings → Apps → Commence → Alarms & reminders.

Reporting and blocking

If a demo, post, programme or profile breaks our community rules, open its three-dot menu and choose Report. We review every report within 24 hours. To stop seeing everything someone posts, choose Block from the same menu; they aren’t told, and you can unblock them from Profile → Blocked users. The rules themselves are in our terms of use.

Your account and data

You can delete your account from inside the app, or by email if you no longer have it installed. See Delete your account. For anything about your data and privacy, email privacy@commence.training or read the privacy policy.
